Warwick RockBass Corvette $$ 5 – bass guitar review with “Top Gear” award
TopGuitar is proud to inform, that the August issue of the magazine features a review of Warwick RockBass Corvette $$ 5 bass guitar, which has been awarded with “Top Gear” editors’ award. The product was delivered for review by the manufacturer, Warwick.
Below are some excerpts from a review by gear department editor Maciek Warda, which may serve as reasons for the award:
“Swamp ash used for the instrument’s body (two pieces perfectly fit and glued together) combined with maple-ekanga neck is a long-time Warwick classic.”
“Slap, groove, chords and harmonics were coming out from the Corvette smoothly and my left hand did not feel any discomfort from the neck. Changes applied by adjusting the volume pots of each pickup immediately bring associations with the characteristic Warwick tone.”
“Do not fear about the sound being too flat or paper-thin – there is no such thing with Warwick RockBass Corvette $$ 5. The neck pickup is a land of low, soft tones: using the EQ you can obtain a metallic and very selective bass sound or thick, meaty and round tone.”
