Epiphone Reintroduces The Legendary Coronet Guitar: Now Made In The USA

For over 150 years, Epiphone has been a leading innovator in instrument design. By leveraging its iconic past and leaning into the future, Epiphone has set the stage for the next era of sound for present and future generations. Epiphone is proud to unveil that the legendary Coronet, one of its first and most successful original solid-body guitar designs, is now Made in the USA. The new Epiphone Coronet is now available at authorized Epiphone dealers worldwide and on www.epiphone.com.

First introduced in 1958, the latest Epiphone Coronet once again features the symmetrical double cutaway mahogany body shape, three-on-a-side headstock shape, “Bikini” headstock badge, and pickguard shape as the earliest versions from 1958-1959. The new model includes a few modern improvements, including a slightly wider (1.695”) nut width and a comfortable SlimTaper™ neck profile, a slightly slimmer (1.375″) body depth for better balance and lighter weight, a Graph Tech® nut, and a single P-90 Soapbar pickup.

A no-frills rock machine, original USA-made Coronets have been played by everyone from Jimi Hendrix and Steve Marriott to Johnny Marr and Marshall Crenshaw. Every Epiphone Coronet comes in a Vintage Cherry or an Ebony finish, and a hardshell guitar case is included.

Epiphone’s reintroduction of the Coronet ensures that both seasoned professionals and new musicians can experience a piece of rock history with modern enhancements.
