TECH 21 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bass Driver DI

The SansAmp Bass Driver DI has been a regular part of the arsenal of many bassists and recording studios since its launch in 1994 and there are very few products in our industry that have been successful on the market for so long. The SansAmp Bass Driver DI has been used in countless studios and on tours around the world over the past decades and for every style of music – from death metal to advertising jingles. In fact, many gigantic stage productions are also powered by a SansAmp behind the backline.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this classic, Tech 21 is launching a limited edition with a classy anodised aluminium housing and metal potentiometer knobs, which will be available from June 2024. The RRP is 429 EUR.

This all-analogue multi-function pedal for various applications delivers rich vintage tube sounds, clear modern slap sounds, gnarly distortion and everything bassists love in between. Three different outputs are integrated to drive power amps, mixers or to enhance an existing rig, making the Bass Driver DI infinitely flexible.

Control options include Presence for definition and upper harmonic range, Blend to combine the ratio of direct signal and SansAmp circuitry, and an active 3-band EQ with 12 dB cut or boost.

The 100% analogue SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation technology covers the entire signal chain, from preamp to power amp to speaker simulation, reproducing any type of bass speaker system with zero latency.
