High level of noise from an electric guitar is one of the most frequent issues. If the intensity of noise changes when touching some of the guitar’s metal parts, it means that you have a problem with grounding in your equipment. How to check the grounding in your guitar? First, you have to make sure that the problem is caused by your guitar, not the amplifier. If you try various guitars on the same amp with its settings unchanged and the problem still occurs, it is the amplifier’s fault.
