Fishman appoints European Brand Ambassador
Fishman is pleased to announced that UK fingerstyle guitarist Steve Fairclough will be representing the company’s products in the UK, Eire and Europe.
A veteran of the UK fingerstyle scene, Steve Fairclough will be hosting clinics, product demos and in-store events on behalf of Fishman and its UK & Eire distributor JHS & Co. Ltd.
Steve has written competition pieces for Total Guitar, Guitarist, and was a Patron of the Bath International Guitar Festival, and these days his music is heard by literally millions of people due to his TV, Radio & Cinema work.
He has recently played a string of solo UK dates with special guests such as Muriel Anderson, Ed Gerhardt and Richard Gilewitz, and for the past two years has done work as a Pro Audio Consultant which has allowed him to share his many years of Studio knowledge working alongside major corporations such as Intel.
Over the last few years he has worked as a clinician and demonstrator for many of the world’s top guitar brands, and a steady diet of tours, clinics and concert shows have brought him many accolades as a ‘Guitarists Guitarist’.
Steve commented, “I am very happy to be working with Fishman. My association with Larry goes right back to my first job in the industry, as demonstrator for the Parker Fly way back in the early 90’s. He has always been an innovator and the quality of the Fishman products has never been in question. What is really exciting for me is the range of new products and the chance to get out there amongst musicians and share the excitement and opportunities that these products offer.”
Belgian fingerstyle wizard and fellow Fishman artist Jacques Stotzem said of his peer, “Steve is a unique fingerstyle guitarist, he plays lots of different styles, different moods with a lot of talent, furthermore, he is a real gentleman.”
