Cort CJ-Retro Jumbo Acoustic-Electric

Cort’s new CJ-Retro, a jumbo-sized acoustic-electric guitar, delivers big acoustic sound packaged in a bold look. Featuring a classic body in a Vintage Sunburst Matte finish with top-mounted controls, the Cort CJ-Retro is built for players who want all the classic retro fittings backed by innovative and powerful design.

The Cort CJ-Retro’s big sound starts with the full-size jumbo body with spruce top and mahogany backs, sides and neck, which produce a huge full-bodied sound with ample bass and exceptional volume. Helping highlight the acoustic harmonics are the specially formulated Graphtech Nubone XB nut and saddle.

Quality construction is complemented by advanced circuitry with a one-volume, two-band Fishman Neo-D magnetic humbucker, which produces a deep and rich sound that ideally complements the Cort CJ-Retro’s wide sonic projection. Picking up the unique vibrational characteristics of the strings, the Fishman VTB EQ preamp conveys powerful yet natural sound that’s perfectly suited for recording and any type of live performance application.

From the dovetail neck joint to the headstock, the Cort CJ-Retro balances high quality with flair and finesse. The Merbau fingerboard is not only durable with its high density and stiffness, but also produces a strong and firm low-end that complements a rich midrange. A dual-rectangular inlay on the fingerboard was specifically designed for the overall aesthetics of this model. The vintage-style nickel open gear tuners with white oval knobs work smoothly while staying true to the vintage-retro look.

With the CJ-Retro, players get the huge vintage sound they want without the big price tag.
