Gretsch Electromatic G5655T Center-Block awarded “Top Gear”

TopGuitar is proud to announce that the Electromatic G5655T Center-Block electric guitar from Gretsch had been reviewed for the December issue of the magazine and received a “Top Gear” editors’ award this month.

“The icing of this cake called Electromatic CB are obviously the pickups: a Dual-Coil Super HiLo’Tron in the neck position and a Black Top Filter’Tron at the bridge.”

“If you’re looking for this type of instrument to use with some heavier stuff, ceramic magnets are undoubtedly a good thing here as well as the solid wood block in the center of the body. Using spruce wood gives a bright, resonant tonal characteristics which connected with the other elements (scale, pickups) results in a very extraordinary instrument.”
